Finland’s surface area is over 10% water coverage and usually  Finns want a cottage near the water. Rivers and lakes are important to the Finns, and they can do many things such as swimming, fishing and boating. In the summer there is nothing better than to go swimming after hot sauna.

Winter in Finland is a long season in every year. Temperature could be different every day from 0 to 30 degrees Celsius. One day you feel the warmth but next day you feel your self very cold.

It’s pretty hard to think of something cool to say about Finland when you live here yourself. What would foreigners find interesting? Probably one of the first things to come to mind about our country is the nature. We do have 187,888 lakes after all. But speaking as someone who lives in our capital Helsinki, nature isn’t really that close to my life.
